RCSF is committed to supporting projects that enhance the quality of life in our communities. Please read about a few recent grants that the Foundation proudly awarded.
RCSF is partnering with Staten Island University Hospital to make capital improvements to the South Shore facility. SIUH is embarking on a major renovation project to improve access to care as well as to elevate the quality of care available to area residents. The project will create a new Telemetry unit providing electronic monitoring of patients and will feature an extensive redesign of the third and fourth floors.
RCSF is a proud sponsor of the Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Foundation, a group that provides assistance to the Staten Island community with emphasis on helping children. Several vital programs will receive funding including the Food Pantry, the Boxing Program, the School Incentive Program and the Medical Needs Program.
RCSF is funding a successful community-minded organization, Emergency Children's Help Organization. ECHO is a volunteer driven group that aids families of children suffering from challenging medical or other living emergencies. The group is dedicated to brightening the child’s life during a time of crisis, helping children in serious need in Staten Island, New York and New Jersey.
RCSF is pleased to support a four-year professional development program at the New York Hall of Science for Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics teachers. This innovative program will employ a range of digital and web-based technologies including web-based video conferencing, virtual worlds and high-tech applications that will be used by teachers throughout the country.
RCSF is a longtime supporter of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.Located in the heart of downtown Newark, NJPAC is one of the country’s premiere cultural and performing arts venues. The Foundation’s partnership has funded various programs including the free outdoor summer concert series, the capital endowment campaign, youth arts education initiatives and the children’s art gallery.
